Sonmez CELIK Co-founder

About: Research Ecosystems co-founder Sonmez Celik works on Open Access, institutional repositories, journal management and publishing and academic performance evaluation . He graduated in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree from Ankara University, Faculty of Languages and History-Geography, Department of Librarianship. He completed his master’s degree in 2000 at Istanbul University, Social Sciences Institute, Department of Librarianship. He worked as the Assistant Editor of the Turkish Librarianship journal between the years 1994-1995. He worked as the chief of Boğaziçi University Serials Department between the years 1995-1997. He worked as a specialist at Sakarya University Library between the years 1997-1999. He worked as a Library Director at Dogus University between the years 1999-2017. He worked as a member of ANKOS Open Access and Institutional Archives group and ANKOS Academy working groups between the years 2011-2018. He worked as Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) director of Turkey between the years 2013-2016. He has been working as the Library Director of Ibn Haldun University since 2017. He also founded the Journal of Ibn Haldun Studies and started to work as an editor for the journal.
